Concrete Making Plant
A concrete making plant is also called as concrete mixing plant, concrete batching plant, which is a most common seen equipment in construction industry used for concrete manufacturing. A concrete mixing plant is a facility dedicated to the production of concrete and usually consists of several parts, including raw material storage, weighing system, mixing equipment, conveying system and control system.
The process of producing concrete in a concrete making plant is a systematized and precisely controlled process, which mainly includes the following steps:
1. Raw material preparation
- Aggregate: such as sand, gravel, etc., transported to the concrete batching plant by car and loaded into closed aggregate silo by loader respectively, which is required to meet the use standard.
- Powder: such as cement, fly ash, etc., transported to the concrete plant by sealed tanker trucks and then pumped into vertical powder silo for storage.
- Water: stored in tanks and prepared through water metering devices.
- Admixture: stored in the admixture tank, selected according to the production needs.
2. Raw material weighing
- Aggregate weighing: a measuring scale is connected underneath the aggregate silo, weighing all kinds of aggregates according to the quality ratio. Aggregate weighing by the belt conveyor (semi-closed) transported to the aggregate transition bin, and then fall into the concrete mixer.
- Powder weighing: powder from the powder bin into the screw conveyor, and then conveyed by the screw conveyor to the weighing hopper weighing. The weighing is deducted according to the proportioning error of the aggregate.
- Water weighing: the water in the pool is pumped into the weighing box by the water pump for weighing.
- Additives weighing: pumped from additives box to weighing box by self-priming pump.
3. Raw material transportation
- Aggregate is transported to the weighing hopper through belt conveyor or elevator.
- Powder is conveyed to the weighing hopper through screw conveyor.
- Water and additives are transported to the weighing device through the corresponding pipes and pumping devices.
4. Raw materials unloading
After weighing, all kinds of raw materials are put into the mixer in order. Generally, aggregate and cement are put into the mixer first, and water and additives are added after dry mixing for a period of time.
5. Mixing
- The mixer mixes the raw materials thoroughly to make them evenly mixed. During the mixing process, the double-channel spiral blades on the two mixing shafts reverse each other, so that the material produces extrusion, friction, shear, convection and other movements, to achieve the effect of intense forced blending.
- The mixing time is set by the control system, after reaching the set time, the cylinder of the mixer door opening device opens the door, and the blades push the mixed concrete to the transportation truck waiting under the concrete mixer.
6.Finished material unloading and transportation
- The finished concrete is unloaded into the concrete transportation vehicle or conveying equipment.
- The concrete is transported to the construction site for pouring through the concrete mixer truck.
7. Monitoring and Recording
During the whole production process, the control system of the concrete mixing plant will monitor the operation and parameters of each link in real time to ensure the accuracy and stability of the production process.
At the same time, the production data will be recorded and stored for traceability and quality analysis.
To summarize, the concrete making plant produces concrete products that meet the requirements through the steps of accurate weighing, conveying, mixing and discharging. These steps are subject to strict quality control and safety regulations to ensure the quality and safety of the product.
